TeenTech City (London)

TeenTech City 2015, London’s most inspiring Science and Technology event will be running for a fourth year on December 1st at the Olympic Park. We are really thrilled to yet again be bringing over 200 scientists, engineers and technologists to the Copper Box Arena to share a day of challenges and experiments with Year 8 and Year 9 students from across London.

TeenTech is a very carefully timetabled and immersive experience, fun but focussed giving students and young people a real insight into the industries of the future and the skills they need to take advantage of them.

TeenTech has run for three years in East London – twice in The Copper Box with the inaugural event being held  “Cisco House” – the stunning temporary event space which overlooked the Olympic Park during the 2012 Games. The event has been  enthusiastically received by local schools and received overwhelmingly positive feedback for providing an engaging day, full of hands-on challenges and experiments. This report on BBC Click gives you a flavour of the day of the first event. TeenTech was the first STEM organisation to be invited to run an event in the Copper Box and it is a day that changes minds.
